Court Up assists individuals who are caught up in the legal system, for criminal matters.

Offending behaviour does not define a person but can lead them to believe that they are incapable of change. Life circumstances often contribute to this misconception. Court Up proudly commits to helping individuals break out of the offending cycle and adopt alternative ways to manage presenting issues which lead to offending. Court Up provides counselling sessions which assist individuals to unpack the root causes of their behaviour and take steps towards healthy decision-making. With encouragement, support, and personalized interventions, Court Up constructs attainable rehabilitation plans which equip individuals with tools to be successful in transitioning to law-abiding lifestyles.

 

Many individuals contact Court Up when they find themselves  “caught up”  in the criminal justice system.  Often, individuals have charges pending and require additional support before they head to court for their hearing. Having an assessment report to present at Court is very helpful in relaying to the judiciary the factors that contribute to their offending behaviour and interventions to specifically target and combat these elements. Court Up also conducts specialised risk assessments.

 

Often, family members attend court to lend support and courage to loved ones that have become entangled in criminality. Family members experience desperation when their efforts to help their relative/s fail. This can lead to devastating outcomes for the affected family unit. Court up works with families, to optimise ways to help their loved ones. Court Up ensures that families are comforted with hope, and their coping capabilities are strengthened.

 

Court Up has a highly concentrated focus on offending behaviour, stemming from 30 years of knowledge, observation, and direct practice in forensic settings, including prisons, correctional services and the courts. Court Up supports current practitioners working with individuals who offend, to achieve best practice via professional supervision.
