It is beneficial to undertake counselling to address offending behaviour.

Counselling supports an individual to:

•Recognize their capability to change;

•Gain clarity about the impact of their offending on themselves and others;

•Rehabilitate and desist from offending.

Counselling can help an individual:

•Show the court their seriousness about tackling underlying issues to improve their lives. This may also lead to a better court outcome;

•Increase motivation to satisfactorily complete your Community Corrections Order or Parole Order;

•Reconnect with family, friends, and community;

•To build self-efficacy towards areas such as employment /education;

Court Up understands that behaviour is a means of communication. It’s an expression of one’s needs which haven’t been met or may even be unknown.

Court Up will work with individuals to identify the barriers to a crime-free lifestyle.
